"Asya's brilliant technique
of her playing create truly astonishing work"
Life & Adventures
Asya Sergeeva began her music education as a piano player, at the age of 5 switching to her beloved harp 12 years later. She graduated from Saint-Petersbourg RimskiKorsakov music school as a classically trained harpist, but had always had a passion for Celtic harp and blend of traditional, classic and modern music. For the past 10 years she has been one of the best known Celtic harpists in Russia, as well as a one of the founders of the biannual Arfavita festival, dividing her time between musical performances and teaching a new generation of Celtic harpist, both adults and children (known as SaintPetersburg Celtic harp school). Applying the knowledge gained during her Psychology PhD research she created her own method of teaching adult students.
